Pierre Ghawi devoted his life to duty, honor, and service. He began his military journey as an officer cadet in 1973 and graduated on January 1, 1977, as part of the “Siyada” Class.
Throughout his career, he advanced with distinction, being promoted to First Lieutenant on April 1, 1981, and to Captain on August 1, 1985.
His life of commitment and sacrifice came to a tragic end when he was martyred on May 7, 1990. In recognition of his service and devotion to Lebanon, on April 20, 1997, he was posthumously awarded the Lebanese Order of Merit, Third Class.
