The foundation exists to transform memory into action. Its purpose is to honor Martyr Lieutenant Colonel Pierre Ghawi by creating programs that strengthen communities, improve social conditions, and serve the public good with dignity.

The Legacy of Pierre Ghawi

A life marked by duty, honor, and sacrifice.

Pierre Ghawi devoted his life to duty, honor, and service. He began his military journey as an officer cadet in 1973 and graduated on January 1, 1977, as part of the “Siyada” Class.

Throughout his career, he advanced with distinction, being promoted to First Lieutenant on April 1, 1981, and to Captain on August 1, 1985. His life of commitment and sacrifice came to a tragic end when he was martyred on May 7, 1990.

In recognition of his service and devotion to Lebanon, he was posthumously awarded the Lebanese Order of Merit, Third Class, on April 20, 1997. His memory continues to inspire a legacy of courage, patriotism, and service to others.
